Making Waves
My abstract-figurative, life-size sculptures were built initially from bent plywood with color finish, then later translated into fabricated steel, reinforced cement, and cast bronze for outdoor display. These figures usually begin with the female form in a gesture or pose that evokes personal, cultural, or mythic associations, which is simplified to an essence of almost geometric clarity.
